So how many of you use the latest Surfcam?

How do you like the way the company has been making changes to the software?

Are you using the Solid base option from surfcam & if so how do you like it?

Thanks

I use Surfcam 2004 with the latest build. I like it quite a lot.

They do post updates on the web site every once in while, like when they release a different build.

If by "solids base" you mean the solid modeler (Version 2.5), yes I use it quite a lot. I learned modeling by the 3d wireframe/surfacing method before there was a modeler, and believe me, drawing in solids is WAAAAY better!

I understand Surfcam 2005 is very near, and that the current solid modeler won't be supported any longer. It isn't available for download any more. I'd assume they have something better in the next release, because I can't see being without solids capability.

I wonder if anyone else has any info on this? Rumors? :p

Thanks, cadcam. I'll be interested to hear if you find out anything. Meanwhile, I will get with my dealer and see if there's any more news. He says that he gets to beta test the new stuff, but I don't know if he's doing that yet. He's pretty closed mouth about forthcoming features.
