Hi everyone,

just wondering if anyone knows what type of safety glasses I need for a laser cutting machine (cant find any info on this) and if you know anywhere online or in Australia where I can purchase them from.

I live in sydney and have been to hardware type stores, but they seem to know nothing and dont understand what Im after.

I JUST WANT TO SAVE MY EYES, DAMN IT

Well first thing is the company that sold you the machine "SHOULD" have
included a pair!!

Next thing is any welding supply store will have them.

Next: each laser is different (The light emitted requires a different lense), so
make sure you tell them what kind/type you are using.

Please be carefull, as Inventor says each laser lases at a different wavelengths and requires different safety glasses. You MUST get the correct glasses for the correct wavelength.

Beleive me, I know... I've damaged my retina in my right eye with a Helium Neon laser. The damage is irrepairable.

I've also seen Health & Safety demonstrations of what lasers can do to animal eyes- they were dead already, but the damage is jaw droppingly horrendous.

Be careful!
