First I think this is a very interesting site, been working on a cnc router for the last two or three years off and on mostly off till the last few months. I decided to finish this thing and after i got back into it, (and a small place to work), I finally finished It. Ive been playing around with and was amazed at what it would do. Now the problem is I can"t Import a DXF or HPGL file into Kcam that is very large. I can put in a Text file or a small box and it will convert it to g-code. and it will engrave it, but when I want to load a DXF file. (for example I downloaded the clock file that I found from someone here and loaded it in Autocad 14 and picked out one of the gears and saved it to a Smaller DXF file and an HPGL file.

I even Imported it to corel draw 12 and tryed putting it back in Kcam but it would only load and draw part of the file, Im thinking that Kcam can't handle this
large of a file.

Are there a better Program that I should use that does not cost a lot of bucks that will do it.

HI,

Maybe a limit to the number of lines allowed on the demo version of Kcam???

in corel draw11,not 12 it has a bug, convert to curves than export as dxf autocad version 11.if kcam is demo it will work only 1000 lines of gcode.
