Thanks for the post Splint. I ordered the free tickets online. I am now not sure if I will make it up there.
I think I will wait for the Melbourne one.

All the guy's and gals that are coming up for NMW, let me know and I will organise some sort of drinky session. We will be releasing our new servo drives and other products there, can't wait. We will also have the senior vice president of BobCAD on our stand, so make sure you come and see us if you're there I will find out what stand we have and I will post it up soon.

"BEER" and for the Victorians who can't spell "BEER" ---- It's---- "VB" and for the Queenslanders who.... well...... ah never mind..., it is "XXXX", those who can't spell at all, like politicians it would be

Dave,

There has been a deathly silence about who is going to the NMW.

Is anybody actually going to bother to come into the countries finest city & check it out? :D

If so. What time? Where? When? Who?

Blah, blah, blah

At this point I doubt that I will be going. It is a great show but I've been to the last two in Melbourne and I dont really feel motivated to travel to get there. If I have a change in plan I'll let you know.
Cheers

Um............ I am sorry, but why dont you type in these words into Google search "world's most livable city" Make sure you use the quote marks too.

How many times was Sydney mentioned.............um................none.
How many times was Melbourne mentioned.........um..............Just remember that Google is a world wide search engine too.

I went to Darling Harbour this afternoon for a look see, there was some awsome stuff.

It was good to meet Dave, and thanks for the demo of BobCad.

I wish I had met you b4 I started my little retro project, it would have saved me some money I think.

That little mill of yours is a lovely piece of kit!

Rob.

Thanks Robby,

It was really great to meet you and thanks for the kind words, the mill was a real hit with everyone we are quoting our little buts off at the moment for everything we had on the stand especially the mills and servo modules. A big HI and thanks to all of the other CNC Zone members I met during the show, it is certainly nice to know that we are all a community and seek to meet eachother, for the Victorian fellows we will be at AUTOMATE in Melbourne in October, maybe a BBQ can be orgainsed during the week of the show.

Kooka, I am glad it went well.

So you have released your new servo driver cards hey!
I am glad they got lots of interest.
Did you sell many modules?
Did you have them actually running complete with a working display.
Did the oppostion come over for a sticky?

I guess most at the show were not home hobbiests though?

I wish I could have gone. I will definately be at Automate though. A BBQ will be good.

Did you take any pics of your display stand. I dont think it would be classified as advertising if you post one. Or you could email me one and Ill post it, then it isnt advertising. :)

Benny,

Yep they are released! Shipping starts in 2 weeks!
Thanks, they got lots of interest!
No Direct sales at the show but we are in heavy talks with OEM machine builders!
Yes we did demo the LV servo modules running our new desktop milling machine.

No there were not many HH's there, mainly trade.

It will be great to catch up with you and everyone else, BBQ plans should start soon. As soon as I recieve the tickets for me to start handing out I will start a thread for people to put their hands up for me to send them some.

I will organise some pic's for you, I think it would be best for you to post them and not me for obvious reasons. I'll get them to you tomorrow.

Here is a picture of Kookaburra at his stand at the show.
He looks more like a DJ trying to get the mix just right.

Hey Kooka I realy want some pictures of those new servo driver cards. Do they really exist?

Benny,

In fact, in the 1st photo, I am writing down my order for coffee, it was something like, "10 teaspoons of coffee, 34 sugars, black as and a big fat cuban cigar on the side.

Will send you pics of the drives in open frame format in the next couple of day's.

PS: Did you like the maintenance crew, lol.

Hello all!
I couldn't help but post my thoughts in this club house about my recent trip to Sydney/Oak Flats Australia. First off, I would like to thank Auatralia for its friendlyness and its amazing beauty. I would like to thank Dave and Pete as well as Ann of CNC Teknix for making me feel at home! These are great people that I consider my extended family now. As for the Australia National Manufacturing Week, it was very good to get in touch with the manufacturing industry there. There is a lot going on and I learned a lot while there. As for the beer...Whew!!! You just can't get that stuff over here!! In any case, I've got my "crock/Mick hat, photos and some really excellent memories now. Thank you! I'm looking forward to next years trade show!
