I've got a chance to buy a 2001 Denford Triac VMC and was wondering if anyone has one or has used one. Any ideas on what one is worth?

I've only been able to find a small amount of information searching the web. The specs show 11X6X9.25 travel and 1.5hp spindle motor. It uses BT30 tooling and has an automatic toolchanger. The machine came from a school and appears to be barely used. I would like to machine mostly aluminum with a little steel every once in a while.

Any thought are appreciated.

Hi there
I just bought a Denford TRIAC myself. Its from -86 and has no toolchanger. Have to hook it all up tonight and see how it goes. Hard to find any info on it here and on the web..
Did you buy that VMC that you was asking bout?

No. It went at a sealed bid auction and I missed it by a couple of hundred dollars. I'm still kickin my self in the ass for that one. I wasn't able to find much info either. Good luck!

Enny: thanks, but alreday seen it. Actually my mill is working perfectly. Even better accuracy than I was expexting. Might upgrade to other controlling system during fall, for convenience.
Let me know if someone is short of a Denford TRIAC 1986 controlling system (complete with two monitors, e-stop, drivers, spindle controller RS232 (dodgy but working) interface and built in getto blaster (intended for traning use..).
