Does anyone know where I can find a 12mm 2.5 pitch lead nut for an acme lead screw? I can make two into a antibacklash set-up if I need to.
thanks

I just have to ask since the pitch is so close......are you sure this isn't 1/2"-10 which would be soooo much easier to find?

I know, I wish that is was 1/2" by 10, but the major diameter is .475" ish not .500", so I am pretty sure that is a 12mm. Thanks

I would not rule out 1/2" yet, 0.475" is more like 12.1 mm and OD of TR12 is closer to 11.8mm. (http://www.gewinde-normen.de/en/trapezoidal-coarse-thread.html)

What does TR stand for? Thanks

TR = Trapezoidal, I think. Normal way to specify a trapezoidal screw is Tr12x3 for example (major dia. x pitch). Click the link, it's a handy resource for a variety of standards, not ACME threads though.

So with all this thread engagment, there is so much friction that I can barley turn it by hand. And I have tried to take the spring off.
