Hi Guys,
I am new to this group and I am a bit overwhelmed by all the different forums so perpaps this is not the right forum for my question. I just acquired a Harbour freight mill/drill 1-1/2 HP mill. I would like to convert it to CNC. Can someone direct me to some links to other members to have a simialar mill and have done the conversion (I did a search and did not find any)? I would like directions as to what kind and size of motors. Basically I am new to CNC although I have use a mill a bit in college. Can anyone give me links to good threads on how to even get started?

Thanks,
rene

The part number of the mill would help us more, if its a round column you may have a harder time.

agreed, the part # is key to getting help, you said that you looked, but if you do a search for that part # i'm sure that you'll find something... and if your not in the right spot, then i'm sure you'll get help finding the right spot... these folks are great!
