Hey all,
New to the forum. Learning to grind carbide cutting tools and extrusion dies in Aus. Currently preparing blanks for the NC tool and cutter. (Lengths, rough points and cylindrical steps.)
Anyone else doing similar work?
we do similar work at our shop, is there any questions you have?
hows the tooling industry in AUS.?

It's actually very quiet for us at the moment. Almost to the point of being unnerving, actually.
Being the only toolroom I've ever worked in though, I'm quite curious as to what the rest of the world gets up to. At the very minute, I'm having nightmares about microns and an overbeck cylindrical grinder built in 1936. I wonder if you blokes get up to the same tricks?

Mr Article99,
FYI,
Just in case you were not aware of this, You happen to have one of the best CNC tool and cutter grinder machine tool manufactures right in your back yard. The company name is ANCA and they are out of the Melborne area. Bayswater to be specific. I deal with the company often and I am sure they would be happy to help. http://www.anca.com.au/

I'm having nightmares about microns
Hehe, I know the feeling- I wake up in a sweat at night dreaming of microns.
I swear I'm starting to dream in G-Code!
