Anyone know if it is possible to remap the shortcut keys on a Centroid M-400

Such as instead of Alt+S for cycle start you can remap it to number 8 instead.

Reason asking I have a large 5 axis that I am trying to get up and running and I would to be able to have a secondary controller on the other side of the machine. I would like to simply use a keypad instead of a full sized keyboard.

Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks

No, that is not possible.

If you need many of the keyboard shortcuts, you might be able to add a programmable keypad (one that lets you program its keys to generate whatever key sequences you want, instead of just being a number pad).

If all you need is a remote cycle start button (and maybe a remote feed hold and/or cycle cancel as well), that could be done through your PLC. Likely it will require some editing of your PLC programs, but that is something a competent Centroid tech can help you through.
