Is anyone out there using the Extrudehone AFM process or contracting it out? We make compressor valves and the flow ports get pretty hairy, but I didn't know if this was a viable option. I'll have the guy come out and maybe send off a couple samples for quote, but I always trust customers over salesmen. Thanks for your assistance

We use Extrudehone for our medical parts and we also used it in my father in laws shop to deburr valve bodies. Never had any problems.

One of our customers has hinted at us to buy one of those machines to do it in-house. Extrudehone is on the expensive side.

Extrudehone works extremely well on the transfer ports in 2-cycle engines. I imagine they work just as well on cylinder heads in OHV engines. I know the process works fine on hydraulic valve bodies etc., both aluminum and steel.
