Im just getting started with BobCad and the Dynapath 20. I have BobCad setup on an old laptop running Windows ME. The laptop doesn't have a com port so I have a USB com port plugged in. I have all the com setting matching but I can't get it to download to the mill. I think its the USB com port. I have had troubles with it in the past not wanting to talk to some controls. Any suggestions? Is anyone using a USB com port with a Dynapath 20 that will work?

USB-serial adaptors are a little fickle.

Thanks for the help. I got another lap top and downloaded a free DNC I found on another post. I was able to upload from the mill on this other lap top. I then installed the free DNC on my other lap top with the USB com port adapter. I was able to upload with it as well. I was planning on putting another computer at the mill. I don't know what my problem is with BobCad but this should work for me.
