When using the 5 axis cut routine there is no option for avoiding other surfaces like there is in the 3 axis cut.

Has anybody come across this and found a good work around?

Thank You

No 3 axis cut doesn't have this option.
What you can do : make a copy of the surface and trim it .
Play a lot with all the arrow options and see what the do to the 5- axit nc.

Huh? Is this a typo? 3 cut axis most certanly does have this option. I'm not familiar with the 5 axis side of Surfcam however.

Hi,
3 Axis cut does have the avoid feature, on the bottom of the cut page you will see a pull down feature called gouge check, set it to multiple, you will then have a box for the amout to stay away.
4 and 5 axis in V3 cut and swarf have the enhance avoidance feature and it seems to work pretty good.
