I came across this site searching for X2 supplier in Asia. Its frustrating when the X2 is manufactured right near my neighborhood and I can't seem to find a reseller here. I have to go all the way across half the globe to source for it. Anyway, the website is here.

Thanks for the info.I have looked at the forum and their website. They have actually emailed me with the price list. I thought their price for the X2 is way expensive. It doesn't include shipping. Its USD1800. Is that reasonable or am I right?

I have thought long and hard at this thing. I pretty much decided to get an X2 mill from SIEG China. Get a CNC conversion kit from CNCFusion, A control box or board from StepMasterNC and 3 stepper motor from ebay. Are these item all I need to get a CNC mill? I did some calculation and with a bit of effort, the price will still be below Syil's price.

Please correct me if I am wrong with my estimation. Thanks.

Prices are always subjective(depending upon what you want) and can change daily I have noticed that syils prices have nearly doubled from there first quotes for the x2's bigger brother the sx3. Before jumping into a kit I would look maybe building your own, I of course am one for experince and I think its nice to feel a machine before you commit to making it cnc. I have also noticed one thing about cnc fusions videos they never show the machines cutting(I could be wrong about the x2 I did not watch all of theres) and I know there has been some questions raised as to the way that they mount the ball screws at least on the x3.(I am not saying it right or wrong). Location is also everything, shipping can kill you and if you can purchase a out of the box unit, for near what it would cost to buy parts I think thats a no brainer. Everyone seems to forget the shipping part(and often devalue there own labor) in the cost calulations as you stated you were near sieg so I assume you are not in the states or england.

Hey in2steam, you should go take look at the fusion X3 videos again, like the first 8-9 videos are of the X3 cutting aluminum. I also saw a couple X2 videos showing material being cut. Pretty cool actually. Have you guys found any other good videos of the X2/X3 mills cutting anything?

My bad you are right, I do remeber the snapping of the bit now, if you check U-tube you might be able to find some videos. Fusions are the best in quality so far that I have seen, I only really care about the x3 so I can not comment on the x2 to much as I have not actively looked.

I don't know what country you are from but I have noticed that alot of motion control items ship from taiwain and other asian countrys, careful selction may help you there.
