When I render a part, if I try to print it always freezes up program. Not only that I have to call bobcad and have to reinstall program.Yesterday it would not even render and said bobcad had encountered problems and shut down.It happens to much.What can I do?

i did have the same problem. first of all what amount of memory does your machine have. for 3d stuff, 512megs is about the lower limit and some may say even that is low. what printer is it? have you gone to the manufacturers website and downloaded the latest driver? Id start with that.
Also for an older slower machine, it can take a long time to convert an image to print, you are dealing with a lot of data. Its not like firing off a page of text. Sometimes it can take a minute or more, and clicking again thinking it didnt work the first time can cause crashes as you double the task it has.
I did have a heck of a time with this, and ended up when i changed computers to a newer p4 the problem went away.
IF you need to print a rendered image you can use print screen button up above the insert key. first create your rendered image and locate and size it like you want, then press print screen one time, it will look as tho nothing happened. Open MS paint or some graphics program and open a blank page, then click edit off the file menu, and "paste". Your render should appear there, where you can crop it and save it to whatever format you choose.
Then print it from that program.
PS also make sure you have any updates from bobcad for the version you have. Do you ever get a message when booting, that your print spool has done something wrong and will be shut down?

You left out on critical detail. How much Graphics RAM do you have? Did you draw this or is it imported from a different software? If the translater in the other software is poor BCC Rendering won't work and the system will crash.

I get this a lot because while people are saving files they are downloading music at the same time (IMO). This causes problems too.

If you are running any other programms, shut them down and try again. I'm not sure but I believe that BCC uses Direct X, not OpenGL. Make sure the Graphics Card you have Supports Both of these.

If your Graphics Card is for Video Games it won't work either. This is always a problem for PC's not designed for a CAD/CAM Software.

It has Quadro FX 500/FX600 128 mb mem.Also it runs auto cad and inventor just fine.My computer was custom made for what I do.

dang you got me then, when i had the prob, i think people blamed my graphics card or at least its drivers. not sure what that has to do with printing, but thats what was said. I did have an old 800mhz celeron or whatever it was, with onboard graphics so i expected problems like that.
what happens if you try to print a very simple flat panel or something, or a wireframe render with no visible surfaces? give that a shot, it may lead you to something else. have you sent any questions to bobcad about it?

What happens is this:
You render a file (BobCAD's Render is an OpenGL based window)
You Click on the Print option (BobCAD queries the Graphics Card for a screen shot to send to the Printer Spool)
