I am fairly new here and I am contemplating on taking on my first project.

It looks to me that there is just a simple X and Y set up for the arm. I am not quite sure what they did for the Z. I will be using the machine for cutting wood and plastic so nothing heavy duty. 1/4" tools will be the biggest the spindle will see. Any help is very much appreciated.

Someone just gave me a Deckel KF1 Pantograph. I am also planning to make it a cnc. I know this is kind of a late reply, but I was wondering how far you have gotten with your project.

No use rushing into things
