Hi Peoples
I am unsure if this is possible but would like to give it a diy try.
What I would like to do is automate my lathe when I am making small spindles.
I am unsure of all the jargon Y axis Z Axis but to give you an idea I have included a picture of a copy attachment for large spindles to give you an Idea of the aim.
So what I need to do is have it move along the spindle and in and out when required, so I guess thats two axis's?
I understand how stepper motors work and have a good grasp of electronics so that should be fine, but am unsure of how I can obtain and I guess from who I can obtain the parts to do this.
Has anyone tried this?
I have done a search but haven't come up with anything that helps.
Thanks In advance Willy
