Hi:

I am interested on cut some motor block gaskets (hi performance copper)
I will have to reproduce it from the original one. How can i do that with a digitaizer or similar.

Any advice will be welcome

I don't know the accuracy, but perhaps you can use a camera ?
Take picture ( higher the rez the better )
Ive read its better to use some distance to eliminate some of the lens distortion ( what I made didnt require this , just be square and center with the part.)
Use a picture editor to clip the pic to what you need
Note a few refernce dimensions
Load picture into vector program ( cad ,inkscape whatever)
scale until the pic matches your reference measurements
manualy trace over
send dxf to sheet cam( or what ever you use for g code)
I use this method on small stuff pretty well

I mean its easy and cheap enough if you make a paper one first to see if its what your after

I second this method
One thing you must do is take the overall dimensions of the original in both X & Y, and then scale the tracing in both X & Y directions.
If the bitmap is a good resolution it is surprising how accurate this method can be! :D
