Hello everybody,

About 2 years ago I had post my first CNC plotter here.

Check this thread,
http://www.cnczone.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-15159.html

This project hold on about 2 years under my study research, and I got B+ just because the machine got rigid and won't move.
I thought 2 semesters plus my own research which took about 17 months are not enough to learn it at all.

Anyway, I've decide to start it again for my personal purpose (I'm working now and not a student anymore..).

Basically my college provide about RM1500 for the project, but I decided to reduced the cost. So , my first machine only cost me about RM500 (about USD 142.86). Which RM250 cost for research (books and internet are free at library but I used it to buy related new books), and the rest to buy component parts. Cheap enough..

If anyone who interested to built the machine only for personal used and not for commercial purpose, I've compiled such pdf files. Check this out, but please be noticed that I think the machine needs other kind of suitable ics. I came from mechanical background and for those who can advise me for electrical basics are very welcome..!

So, lets bring your toolkits, and let make some noise :bat:

P/s: Soon I'will upload MiLBOT design drawings.

I got an email from my pal,

Dude, you gotta figure out how to make each motor move in a different direction so the gantry can move.

Figure it out plz

Thanks a lot for the advice.

I think you have figured from the pic that x-axis used 2 stepper motors.
To move for.. let say one direction, one motor should rotate clockwise and the other must be counterclockwise.

Thats the prob I faced, and I thought if I changed the polarity between 2 stepper motor it will work. That the simple theory I think, but please correct me if I'm wrong.

Actually, this week I plan to install my cpu with windows 98.
I just read from the documentation (kellyware.com), and it stated that KCam4 works only in supported win 95 and 98.

What a silly mistake I did. I used win ME installed to the laptop, and the result was no any such movement.

Anyway, as I promised, I will compile my design as soon as humanly possible.
But before that I need to correct any mistake such as dimension and so on..
