i am a long time mastercam user. I have change jobs and they use bobcad so i have having to learn all over. Not to hard right now the only problem that i am having is that all my programs have a .cnc ext and i need a .nc ext. Can someone help me with this little problem. I tried to rename it but it didnt work. thanks for any help on this matter:cheers:

Get the Beta (free for 30 days) version of NcPlot ( www.ncplot.com ).

Open the (.cnc) file, then "Save As..." (.nc).

When you tried to convert the file extension, what are the steps you tried?

Open BobCAD/CAM
Open the NC Side of the Software be clicking on the Green Milling Machine Icon.
Go to File Open
In the Extention Drop Down Box at the Bottom you will see this File extention.

NC*.cnc, *.txt

That is the one you want.

Then Save As a TEXT.txt, CNC Files .cnc, NC Templates .nct, and Compressed NC .cnc

Save as a Text to open in Note Pad
