Hi all been running a helitronic regrinder for 7 years and have just start using our new power 500 with fanuc control auto pallet load and wheel dresser. Have vast experience in using p1,2,3,4,6,7,18and more recently p32 and tool studio. Looking to move to a larger company and better my career in either the uk or abroad. Any info or opportunities would be appreciated.

Excuse me for being ignorant but I am wondering if there is some type of round cutter that can be used on a cnc mill to profile a carbide insert? Any info appreciated.

carbide is too hard to machine it needs to be ground.
carbide inserts can be ground with a diamond wheel, or cut with a wire like on an edm. i have a friend who does inserts. modify, manufacture, whatever.
he specializes on insers. i could get you his contact info if you want.

Yes, give me his info please. I am looking at a .156 Dia. diamond cutter to try in a cnc mill using small cuts. I am trying to profile a grooving insert for a 4 part job. I do not have much time to have one ground but if his lead time and price are feasible I'd sure give him a shot.
