View Full Version : Help with registering softare
nervis1 02-17-2004, 10:34 PM Whats the problem? Last week I fax the form in to the number specified on the register form. Some number in Florida, no response. I give a call and they have no idea who I am, say they have no record of me, and never got the fax anyway. They tell me to call the CA office. Ok I call there and I don't have my user numbers....call back monday and talk to a guy who tells me it's Presidents day, can't register, call back tomorrow.
I'm going to try again tomorrow (Wed).
What the HELL is going on?
Why doesn't the fax number work, who lost my fax, why doesn't the office in Florida know who I am as that is the contact number listed on the register sheet that shipped with my software.
Color me pissed.
nervis1 02-17-2004, 10:38 PM BTW notice my other post back in August, I paid for the software about three months prior to that.
Bloy2004 02-17-2004, 10:49 PM Before you contact Bobcad again, I would have your papers, I.e. check number, money order number, credit card records, etc. in front of you so you can verify to them that you indeed purchased the product on such and such date. This will be a start for them to go on. Other than that... Good luck!
CNCdude 02-18-2004, 08:15 AM Nervis1,
You should have received a registration form with your software. The BobCAD fax number is 727-442-1773. If you would rather call me directly at 877-262-2231 ext 12 I would be happy to assist you. We were all here on Presidents Day. And so, I don't know what the problem was. Just give me a call today and I'll get you setup.
Sincerely,
CNC Dude
nervis1 02-18-2004, 09:15 AM OK will do.
nervis1 04-05-2004, 07:22 PM OK despite 4 phone call and a few "opps I must have given you the wrong code...try this one" I have yet to be able to register my copy of ver 19.
I'm sending this and the book back to Bob-cad in the morning. If there is a rep from the company here I'd appreciate an e-mail.

Bloy2004 04-05-2004, 08:42 PM Gee Nervis1, I had no problems at all back when I registered mine....just called in to Florida and they checked my record and 1,2,3, I had the codes entered and was up and fumbling...'till I read the manual..:D
Seriously, I haven't had a problem at all with support...I've called a few times and always got good responsive advice.
nervis1 04-05-2004, 09:33 PM I'm pissed off, no doubts about it. I can't remember what I paid for this...5-600 as I remember. Stuff like this shouldn't happen.
Bloy2004 04-05-2004, 11:04 PM try this number.. 877-262-2231
CNCdude 04-06-2004, 08:04 AM nervis1,
I have no idea why you are having difficulty getting your software registered. Call 877-262-2231 or 727-442-3554 and ask for a password for your system. That should do it. Passwords for software registration is about the easiest thing we do here.

nervis1 04-06-2004, 08:27 AM I have never had this much trouble with a password. I agree it should be easy. I'll call today and get me third password, we'll see if that can do it.
CNCdude 04-06-2004, 08:48 AM Sounds like a plan!

CNCdude 04-07-2004, 07:55 AM I would have to say that if you (nervis1) have any future difficulties, contact me directly so that we can help.
Sincerely,
