I hope this is not TOO far out of line for this section.

I’ve kind of wandered in here from some of the DIY sections looking for
advice. I wanted to get some slide rail support blocks cut, drilled and
tapped. 2.5” x ¾ ‘ HDPE (I supply Material) blocks 2.5” Sq, ¾ hole
in center of face, ¼’ hole (¼” inboard from each edge) in each corner of face,
3/16” hole drilled & tapped in center of each edge, perpendicular to the
¾” hole in the face and sharing the same center axis lines (adjustment screws).

Quantity 12 ~ 15 (need 12, be good to have a couple of spares)

A local guy with a machine shop wanted over $100.00 USD

Is this price about on target or out of line?
I'm located in the NorthMetro section of Atlanta, Georgia (USA)

Thanks for the help.

This price is well within reason. Be happy you found someone who would do your $100 job. Really, this guy has an investment in machinery, tooling and rent then has to pay either someone or himself to do it. He's really doing you a favor. No one is going to get rich or even make a living doing a dozen $10 parts for a one time customer.

I'll second all of what MrMold said!

Thanks Guys

I understand what you are saying about getting rich etc.

As a Freelance Computer Consultant I have lost count of
the number of times I've lost (or came REAL Close, figuring
in time that could be spent working on better paying projects)
money trying to make / keep a client happy.

It's just never having had any of this type work done,
I diden't know if this guy was being 'on the level"
