Anyone who is upgrading and has the 212 geckos please let me know.I will buy them.

Wow. I saw this thread last night and figured someone out there upgraded and would want to unload their old, worn-out, outdated, dusty Gecko 212 drives.....

The beauty of Geckos is the resale value. Take a look at ebay for instance... there's only one Gecko in the "completed listings", a G201, and it sold for $95.00. I only paid $99 for mine from homeshopcnc (bought it with a motor).

Unfortunately this means that you probably won't be able to get a smoking deal on a set of 212s, especially since they are more rare, being the most expensive of the stepper drives. On the plus side, it makes it easier (for me at least) to drop money on brand new Geckos knowing that as long as I don't fry em, I can resell em for a very good price. Kinda like an infinitely long return policy.

I did figure there would be folks out there that started with the 201 or 212 and decided to upgrade to the G-Rex and would be willing to part with their "antiquated" drives.

as it comes to most toys , guys aren t willing to give them up , they can sit on the shelf for a while because there are always big plans for them later :idea: ,once we get them ,they will need to be pryed from our dieing arms :boxing:

The Grex does not replace drives. It is a pulse generator. (and a lot more)

So if someone just got a Grex they would still need their Geckos

Im a jeweler so im always looking for gold and diamonds on my hands and knees under my bench.It usually happens when its time to go home and it was the last stone to go in the piece and it goes flying.Two tricks for this.One is get on the floor with your ear to the floor and look for anything that breaks the plane.The other is sweep the floor.When you follow the two in that order you will usually find that targeted item in short order along with the other four items you dropped that day.I only need one more and will buy it.
