View Full Version : David Laser Scanner nancygal 01-08-2007, 02:54 PM Check this out at: http://www.cs.tu-bs.de/rob/david.html rovingmind 01-10-2007, 08:00 AM You beat me to it. Still, Awesome piece of software for anybody doing 3d work. Timo 04-30-2007, 10:53 AM You can find the latest version of the 3D laser scanner software at www.david-laserscanner.com PolyPill 05-17-2007, 01:56 PM I had played with that a few months ago, it's pretty neat but I couldn't get it to work very well. I think my laser was bad, used a cheap laster leveler. I also had problems with getting the right lighting. Although I think with a little bit of a $$ investment on the proper tools and work area it would work really well. SteveC68 08-14-2007, 04:05 PM Has anyone tried using a slide projector instead of a laser? It's mentioned in the the 3D for crazies thread, but I don't think anyone tried. It was suggested to use two pieces of electrical tape on a slide to make a slit and use the resulting white line as a "laser". I might try this if I can find a slide projector. Also it looks like the camera used can have a big impact on the resolution of the digitized image. Steve |
