I am considering building a hexapod machine but am a little concerned about having decent software to control it. What control programs can handle a hexapod?

Anybody know if that is available? daedalus 01-07-2007, 08:00 PM Hi, Sounds like a great project, but here is something i think you might find interesting. Its a parallel mechanism design that uses 3 linear axes to provide 3d motion. The design benefits from increased stiffness and reduced moving mass, as a standard hexapod does, but it looks much easier to manufacture. I stumbled across it in my research a few months back, either way it might be worth a look. http://www.irccyn.ec-nantes.fr/~wenger/Orthoglide/Index_en.html |
