A few months ago, I bought I CNC mini mill. I've been running production on it and ran into some issues that I think make a good list of features to look for on a cnc mini mill. So, I wrote an article:

Check it out, and let me know if you have any suggestions.
Thanks!

nice write up jeff
i take it you think its a viable tool
i run an x1 that was self built to do one off parts and think with a bit more
time could be made to do a lot more
the small gantry router i built (200mm x 300mm) tho suprised me by being
the more in demand machine,i do engraved stem caps for mountain bikes
and engrave bits and bobs for motor bikes
the electronic side of things let me down

These machines are used in production all the time. I'm surprised at how many people I encounter on a daily basis use them for production work.
Nice article, we are trying to overcome alot of the issues you suggested in it with our X2.
Thank you for your time to write everything, for all of us to see.
