I'm working on some Sci - Fi models and wanted to engrave some 3D Skulls for adding small details. Ideally I'd need a greyscale image from a 3d Scanner and then use Techsoft 3D Engrave to create the part.

Does anyone have any 3d scanned images of skulls, preferably front on. Bit of a longshot I know but I dont have a scanning head for my engraver (yet)

Let me know what you need, I don't know what I'm doing with this thing yet... Crap, the one file is too big, try emailing me at carl@miabc.us... I put a little one up so you could tell me if a bitmap grayscale image like this would suffice... All I have is a deer skull and a squirrel, nothing human looking yet, although I just put a bat into my beetle colony and it looked scannable this morning...

Another thought is to ask the website owner to put a forum in for nextengine scanners, they seem to be getting fairly popular and mine works awesome! If we got the scan guys together on their own forum, I think you could get ANYTHING you wanted scanned for free~ I'm going to write him this week and actually, that is how I stumbled upon your thread...

Good luck!

I sent you an email, I'd like to see how those scans turned out.

Regarding the human skull...it might be a good idea to aquire a model skull via Ebay rather than using the beetle colony!
