Just wondered if anyone had a cross reference to Parlec, Lyndex, Kennametal etc. for the pull stud that Haas uses on thier 50 taper machines?

We are getting a new VF5/50 in a few weeks and I trying to get my ducks in a row. The drawing they provide in the manual is a little thin on dimensions, but they do identify it as 'JMTBA Standard MAS 403 P50T-1'. I have been researching various manufacturer cross reference charts of late and have not seen anything that makes me 100% sure of a perfect match.

The Haas P/N is TPS24CT50 and they get $629 for 24 of them. I realize that this is a critical component and not a place to go cheap, but I also like having choices, like the opportunity to score something nice when J&L is doing thier 25% deals. Does anyone have any experiece buying them from Haas?

Oh yeah, we need the coolant through version :D

Thanks wiomcio, I've been staring at that page for a while now...

The Haas drawing only gives the two lengths (1.780 & 1.386) and the angle (45). No diameters. Haas also says its a MAS 403 P50T-1.

Filtering the MAS 403 types that USST lists on angle, I can whittle 14 lines down to 6. 5 of these 6 have the required lengths of 1.779 to the end and 1.385 to the shoulder. The Haas picture does show a pilot, so I guess that would eliminate one more choice and get me down to 4.

This just does not feel like great way to pick such a critical component. I was hoping that someone could point me to a more definitive x-ref.
