hello,
anybody haas pictures whats inside a programmable coolant device ?
or any photos of it ?

2 limit switches and a geared reduction motor. 1 limit switch shows when the spout is at position 1. and the other rides on a cam that has teeth like a sprocket and this is what the other limit switch rides on.

does the programmable coolant has its own electronics or it is directly connected to haas IO board ?

Actually I haven't had time to go further with mine but I have an older '94 machine and all of the connections are on the pcb board in the back of the machine And all of the internal parts are available at grainger. I was planning on updating to PC.

It should be doable, if you look at the control board and see if the thing has labeled connectors for Pcool you should be able to do it easily.

If there are no connectors you can still probably rig a controller board of your own for a stepper motor and limit switches. And use the extra port for macros to control it.

under the P35 is writen "spigot" is it this ? and above are two relays visible K17 and K18 for PCOL.

those are the ones on my board as well.

WARNING!!!

This is uncharted territory and that board isn't cheap if you mess things up.

just thought I should say that, so you go in with eyes wide open.

I haven't done this mod yet and your a guinea pigging this if you decide to do it.
