I'm looking for a 5C collet closer for the D1-6 mount on my lathe spindle. Is the Haas AC25 suitable for this? Jim

I believe ROYALPROD.COM makes the noses and closers for HAAS. What model machine do you have? What specifcally is HAAS P/N: AC25?

I don't have a Haas machine. It's a centurn with a Fagor control, but I need a collet closer, and would like an air closer. The haas website is somewhat criptic. It states "Three types of collet closers are available from Haas for use on HA5C indexing heads. Air collet closers provide greater holding force – as well as reducing operator fatigue – when compared to standard manual closers". one of the three models offered is the AC25. I know that some collet closers for indexing heads can be adapted for use on a lathe spndle. Just don't have enough info on the haas to know. Jim

I would contact royal or a company like http://www.workholding.com/. And have them spec something for exactly what you need.

I looked at their website. That's probably the best route to take. Thanks, Jim
