This software never ceases to amaze me (perhaps I'm just easily please ;o).
When I first started using SprutCAM, I thought of it mainly as a 3D system, and didn't bother looking at the 2D side of things. It's only the last couple of months that I have started to use the 2D tools in SprutCAM, and are they good!
The 2D geometry tools are simple, but very powerful. Combined with the 2/2.5D machining strategies, it's possible to get toolpaths produced in very little time.
I have managed to draw, and produce the toolpaths, in SprutCAM for the attached (hopefully) drawing in 2.5 minutes!
If anyone is trying the demo version and wants some pointers on how to do this, I'll be happy to help.
