Iam new to cnc I have a controller from camtronics that I assembled it has Gecko 201 controllers my screw pitch is 10 tpi Iam using belts motor pulley 30 tooth screw pulley 60 teeth my software is Mach 3 I trying to set up the motor turning opition in the config drop down the problem is the steppers sound ruff thy jerk and there movement is erratic I tried all kinds of settings but when I try to jog the only thing that might change is sound thy do have holding torque but if I take the motor pulley and spin it the motor does freely spin I checked the parallel port volts it seems to be fine 4.7 volts could it be the software should I remove it and reinstall it? Or is it just getting the numbers in the correct order,can someone help?
