Dont know procomm, but at least check:
baud rate (4800 is ok)
databits: 7
paritety: even
stop bits: 2
RS cable should be cross-connect

Setting should be same on both side (NC/PC).
If problems please check www.cadem.com
There you can find setting & cable instructions
There is also a free program for data transfer, it's good.

------------
Transferring:
In NC type "O2342" <read> <execute> or just <INPUT> (which Fanuc do you have??)
Then send datafile from computer.

I may be wrong, but I think I/O channel 4 is for the PCMCIA card.

Yes Channel 4 is for the card, use channel 1 2 or 3 just make sure whatever one you use has the correct settings. stop bits ASCII and Baud rate
