I'm an experienced pro/e user (8000+hours) and am now getting an upgrade to wildfire. Is there a process for going from pro/e solid model to g-code smoothly and efficiently?

With pro/e, I can export to several formats, step, STL or iges...What are the next steps to easily generate g-code and see the toolpaths etc?

Also are there other modules (or plugins) neccessary in pro/e that I would need? I've seen people refer to pro/manufacturing which i haven't really used much.

Got my wildfire 3.0 to work now on my machine. Also got vericut to work with Xp, anyone know how to use vericut, I don't see any NC menus within Pro/e, but I can start vericut outside of Pro....

Thanks

yea I found it under opening a new part, open a "manufacturing part'. I thought the manu tab would have been within part level...

Could you shoot over some simple steps for me to get started on a sample part with vericut?

Ive never used the manufacturing or NC machining portions of Pro...

Vericut is just for verifing the toolpath you make. The toolpath them self you make in the manufacturing mode. Its a steep learning curve, but if you have access to coach it shouldnt be that difficult since you already know pro/e

G codes comes from postprocessing the toolpath file with a postprocesser for your given machine. If you just want standard g code you can make a postprocesser yourself in g-post or send me a pm with your email, ive made one to go with mach3
