I have a daewoo lathe with a Fanuc 21i-TB control and would like to know if there is a way to retrieve files from the contol using a Flash card. I want to dump all of the files onto the card and in turn onto my PC. I don't want all the files dumped as 1 file. I have been able to do that and it involves a lot of time to break the files out of the single file to individual files again. Any help would be appreciated.

Make sure that your channel in the setting screen is set to 4 (Card)

Turn the edit key on
Turn the edit function on
Press program
Press Oprt until you see PUNCH
Key in O0000,O9999
Press PUNCH
Press Exec
This will send all the files in the control to your flashcard
If you have Background Edit you can do this w/out the edit key

Thanks Bluesman...That is what I do now but it puts them into a single file. Then I have to edit that file on my pc to put in percent signs and then cut that section and past it in a new file and save that file with a new name.
I was hoping there would be a way to do a mass copy keeping each file as individuals. I have found that If you punch to a memory card you can just O search and then punch, O search
punch
O search with no file number will change to the next file in memory but not
in file number order but in file made order.
But that is still not a single operation it involves working through each file and maybe that is the best I can get.

On a 150i I have the option to punch "ALL".

Thanks Igreeves, That is the same as 9999 on my 20i-TB but it only generates a single file with all the files on that files page.

Ok bud I did not read the whole question yoiu had sorry.
The only other way is to just do If you know the files you want you can still do the same thing but sooner or later you still need to seperate them. For instance if you want program O1001 O1005 and O1012
Yopu do the same procedure but you would punch in O1001,O1012 and then you would get everything in that numerical order in one file. I can not think of a way to dump and seperate the files without doing some editing on the desktop
