I just bought a dynatorch cnc plasma. Today I have an opportunity to buy a Technicut waterjet 6x10 machine. It is older, and was wondering if mach3 will work, or what type of software we would need to buy to update the machine to todays standards. Look forward to hearing any thoughts.

In my opion Technicut is a low end water jet machine. It would make a good choice if the cost is right and you want to run Mach3. Every Technicut I have seen runs stepper motors so intergration should be easy.

Thanks Ron,
The main thing was the height control, It has a built in 12 inch travel Z axis, but wasnt sure if that woul intagrate with mach3. And the price is definately right, under $7K delivered.

We are still trying to work out final price and shipping. I think the gentelman is back peddling now since I was so quick with saying ok. Plus he is now saying the pump might not be included, and thats a deal breaker, if the main pump isnt there its just a glorified gantry.
