Good day,

Im new to this forum so please be nice :)

We have recently aquired a new HAAS Super Mini Mill with ENET option. Unfortunatly we are unable to connect to the machine. We have set up exactly as directed by HAAS ( uk ) but still unable to transfer files between pc and machine.

HAAS will not come on site to help us connect as this is not classed as thier problem  , and so we are left with a machine that we are currently unable to use.

If any one has this mill with ENET option pleeeeeeeeeeeeeease could you help...

Regards,

A very stressed Taz

Taz where are you located,
I have a brand new mini mill with similar ethernet issues.
Do you have the USB/Hard drive option as well and does this work?
Maybe we can help each other.
I got my ethernet to work but only for 30 minutes at a time.

Good morning. Im in the UK !

do have the USB option.. And it works ( sometimes ) Though i wouldnt hold your hopes on that either.. The HAAS doesnt always recognise it as a USB port and referrs to it as a "zip" drive (at which point a couple of power downs are required till it re-recognises the fact its USB, not zip !! )

I will PM you my company e-mail, hopefully we can work together and get both machines functioning, though have to say im very disapointed in HAAS customer service.

Taz,

It took me a while to setup the ENet connection as well. Are you usind DHCP or fix IP? I could not use the "browse network" to locate the maching. I had to use the "search" function for the machine using its ip address. One I am able to locate the machine via its ip address I was able to connect to it.

Unfortunatly we are unable to connect to the machine.

Maybe this (http://www.cnczone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23141) helps.

I use DCHP from a broadband router, with the router assigning static IP to the machine. I am able to load programs from the PC to the cnc, but still can't see the cnc hard drive on the network. For about 30 minutes it works, transfer a few programs then everything locks up. The Ethernet option is very tricky to get help with because they will basically say that anything "outside" the machine is not their responsibility. However, I am talking with their email support about my problem and they have promised to look into it.
To contact me please go to www.homeshopaccessories.com and there is a contact link.
Thanks,
Joe V.

Woo Hoooooo

We done it !! (nuts) to HAAS....

All my settings were correct... I turned off all the firewalls and it connects fine. We can see the HAAS on the pc as a network drive, and all the pc directories on the HAAS.

Thanx for your help guys...

btw can anyone recomend a software for drip-feeding the larger programs via the Ethernet connection ?

Kindest regards,

Taz
