Hey has anyone built or had on the drawingboard a large pro type router?I am refering to a machine with 8 to 10Hp spindle.A spindle this size is 80 to 100ibs. I guess the gantry would be 200 to 300lbs.For software and hardware would we have to go above say Mach, gecho ,rutex ,800 0z servos?What i mean is would you have to go to expensive servo drives and large servos to move the monster? I would like to build one but do not know enough.The Zone has been a great inspiration, thanks.Perhaps you guys could say what a stupid idea and convince me to forget it.
