Thanks, Gary fjd 01-07-2004, 06:54 PM don't know any thing about the Haas but we have a new KIWA on its way going to put it on the floor monday. The wheels here looked at all the goodies and decided this was the best bang for the buck. fredj Kool Parts 01-07-2004, 07:45 PM Fred, I will be intersted to hear what you think of the KIWA. It is one that I have been looking at very seriously. Did they get the 2 or 6 pallet. Thanks Gary fjd 01-08-2004, 09:17 PM Kool Parts From the information i have seen its coming with 2 pallets. The fisrt problem has already come up is the retention studs that are comeing with the machine will not screw into standard cat40 tooling the studs threads are metric. fjd 01-10-2004, 08:43 AM KIWA update here the story now is it wont be on the floor till wed (they didn't say of what week) LOL still no word on the retion knobs Kool Parts 01-10-2004, 09:50 AM the studs threads are metric You have got to be kidding. I didn't know there was such a thing. But that isn't really saying much:D Gary fjd 01-16-2004, 10:22 PM Just another up date as in no update machine was to be here monday then wed. now they say next wed. I am not sure its off the boat yet. Also still no retion knobs yet. fjd 01-22-2004, 08:27 PM the lastest news on the KIA it here, got it on the floor and in postion 7 pm today Now the big question is how long will it be till its operational. Haas_Apps 02-03-2004, 08:41 AM Which one are you interested in the EC-300 or the EC-400? I am work with both of the daily, and know both machines very well. The EC-400 is far better than the EC-300. The EC-400 is a solid machine. Kool Parts 02-03-2004, 09:36 AM Haas_Apps I was looking at the 400. My salesrep was just here, and sort of busrt my bubble. It only has 20" XYZ. I need a min 23''XY. He did however point me in a new direction that I am intersted in. The VF-4APCQ with super high speed op. What do you think of that config? Gary Haas_Apps 02-09-2004, 01:52 PM The VF-4APCQ may work better for you. I do not know what your application is. The EC-400 has an advertised work envolope of 20 x 20 x 20, although it is actually a little bigger. If you need more information on the VF-4APCQ check out the following link: http://www.haascnc.com/products/default_details.asp?id=315&tstr=VMC orionmach 02-09-2004, 04:09 PM I have the following for sale, if you are interested please contact me: KIWA KNH-400 (2001 INSTALLATION) HORIZONTAL MACHINING CENTER LESS THAN 200 HOURS OF CUTTING TIME FANUC 18 IM CONTROL TRAVELS- 23.6”X –23.6”Y- 19.6” Z SPINDLE MOTOR- 20 HP-8,000 RPM RAPID TRAVERSE RATE- 1968.5 IPM ATC- 64 TOOLS COOLANT THROUGH THE SPINDLE FULL 4TH AXIS CHIP CONVEYOR INSTALLED IN 8-2001 PURCHASED FOR $245,000.00 PRICE $169,500.00 NET-( AS IS WHERE IS, NO WARRANTY STATED OR IMPLIED.)
