So, now that I'm actually putting together a shop, it's come the time to buy a few machine vises. They are all going on CNC's and manual mills. I want to get Kurts, since those are all I've ever used, and they're reliable, but what about the Parlec vises? They make good toolholders, so their vises actually might be quality. They are more than $100 less than the same size Kurt's. What say you?

We bought 4 of them and they seem fine. Have had no prob's. All four of them are the same hight within .0005"! Plus they came with speed handles and regular handles as well as the gaurding mat'l. for guarding the screw. Also I think they open farther then the Kurt vices we have. Maybe our Kurts are just older or somthing???

How long have you had them? What sort of use are they being put too?
