Hi, I was looking at a rc engine and the spec's beside hp said:

11 PS @5900 rpm

Im wondering what the 'PS' means (Stands For) and if its the same as 11 horsepower or a different measurement?

I get it at 10.85HP hth converter (http://www.locost7.info/converter.php)

(German: Pferdestärke = horse strength)

PS is short for PferdeStarke or the German translation of horse power, in Frogland its CV for Cheval Vapeur. Niether are an exact James Watt horsepower. PS is rounded to 75kg and metres rather than 550lbs and feet. PS is about 98.2% of a 'real' horsepower.
