Well the riggers brought it today (had 1/4 inch to spare under the garage door). 2 more weeks to get my Phase perfect and I should be in business.

Motorcycle parts, stuff like rearsets, triple clamps, brackets....................and anything that crosses my mind. I really just got it for fun. there is something about CNC machines that just tickles my curiosity bone.

Sounds like a lot of fun!
My sons and I built a VW powered Baja Bug together, lot of fun!
They've been learning the basics, we're almost ready for more advanced stuff.
Hey, I wonder if you have seen this:

I have used their blackening kit for steel. Worked great, till I tipped over the solution... Bummer.
Have fun,

I have a 15Xt and a 5020A , love 'em. We do high energy physics stuff and they are perfect for what we do. I know you will have years of fun on yours. My partner in crime is a dirt rider and is always looking for guys like you, making trick stuff.
Good Luck!

Yea, I wish I could have gotten an XT but I just don't have the room. I got it up and running now, making chips on the weekends and eve if I get home early enough. I was suprised how quiet these things are. Outside the garage you can hardly hear it.
All my friends have projects for me LOL.

Fadals new machine and control got delivered today...
Interesting, they could not get their control to work with their own pallet changer. So, because they promised us a pallet machine, they had to purchase and integrate a Midaco pallet changer instead.
The guys on the machine shop floor don't like the Midaco. Actually they hate it. (Bad experience on another Fadal)...
Maybe "comfortable shoe syndrome", you know, that old pair of comfortable shoes get worn the most.
At least the Midaco has a pallet system that clamps the pallets to the table... Fadals are not clamped to the table...
Looking forward to next week,
