Hi all,
I was hoping for a little help. I am attempting to run Mach 3 on a Compac PC. I ran the Driver Test and found that the system locked up. As per Mach 3 instructions I used the SpecialDriver.dat file and followed the steps to remove the origional driver. However, now nothing happens. Pulse Frequency is nada. zip... when the program is up, nothing works there either. Any suggestions? Any help would be much appreciated.

Did you reboot after removing the original driver, and after instaling the special one?

Hi Gerry,
thanks for replying! ...and unfortunately, yes. I rebooted. In fact, I've stripped the computer of everything but Mach 3 (I've heard some media players mess with things), and removed the origional driver, as Art suggests. And when it failed the first time, I also cleared the computer of the program and downloaded the whole thing again, hoping I had inadvertently screwed something up. ...but I got the same results. Any ideas? -John

You might need to reinstall windows with ACPI (sp?) turned off in the bios. Also, check out the XP optimisation list in the download section at www.machsupport.com
