Hello all. I have just finished building a modified JGRO that will give me a working area of 2' x 4' and 6" of Z. I will be using a MAXNC CL motion kit I have had laying around. It uses NEMA 23 with 173oz of torque. I have tested the motors as-is and they move each axis very well, but now it has come time to fully hook them up which leads to my question.
The steppers currently have about a foot of 22AWG wiring. In the case of the z axis, I will have to extend this to around 6' and was wondering if the 22AWG is fine, or do I need to change it because of the distance?
I'm pretty good mechanically, but know nothing of electricity so any help would be appreciated. I don't want to fry a component or anything.
