Your off to a great start so far Gray. The End Mills you require for cutting can be found in MSC and Enco.
Check these websites. Mostly the type of End Mill you need depends on your application. 2 and 3 Flute for Aluminum. 4, 5, 6, 8 Flute for Steels and Exotic Materials. I doubt you will need more than a 4 Flute but listed the others just for awareness. High Speed Steel, M42 Cobalt, and Carbide can be used on Aluminum and Mild Steels. Carbides (mostly for exotic materials) will hold an edge longer but are more expensive than the other two. You may want to go with M42 Cobalts for durability and all-around use. As a note M42 and HSS (High Speed Steels) have lower cutting forces than Carbides. Good Luck and have Fun with your new Mill.

Good for you Gray, now your off and running. For now you may just want to buy the cheapest end mill you can find. As you will find they tend to break e-z. you may want to look at an indexable insert cutter of about 1"-1 1/2" dia.best of luck to you young man
