I have both the round column and the large red gear headed mill from harbor freight. I just bought some 5/8 ballscrews and 3, 500 oz in steppers[2 phase, 1.8 deg stepper motors: REXSTEP Model # RS23-500. 4-wire parallel.
The 3/8 " dia shaft is flatted. ABEC-5, SKF or NSK 10mm ID bearings are used.] 3.0 voltage, 3.0 amps per phase. Now what would be a good set up for these motors?prefferably an economical one. I know nothing about the drivers and encoders. Im leaning towards doing the round column conversion like jeff Davis Can a kind soul assist .THANKS IN ADVANCE.
