Hi,
I have purchased a bridgeport MK1 series 1 interact. It has servos and also manual handwheels. It has been retrofitted in the past to heidenhain tnc 155. It was done profesionally and machine is in lovely nick. ex college machine

My problem is when the machine was removed from the college...the lecturer in his wisdom pulled the batteries and i lost the parameters. I am also concerned i have also lost the plc.

I got onto the company that did the retrofit and they want £350 for the parameters and £450 for the PLC. As of now i dont have the money to get the info off these people.
question.....is there anything i can do to get the correct parameters?
how will i know if i have lost the PLC? if i have can i overcome?

your help is appreciated

regards

Ian

The PLC is actually burned onto PROMs unless they had to something very strange there.
The parameters may be a challenge. I am not sure what you have, it sounds more like an MDI machine but that had a 131 or a 135 control (1982 vintage). Upgraded to a 155, the parameter list would be longer and of course different. You would have to get the original parameters and plug them into the 155 where they need to be (parameter manual needed) with the rest left blank? Also there was more than one version of 155 parameters (with the quantity different). Check the back of the control for the exact 155 model number.

Hi George,
thanks for that reply...yes it was an MDI. I shall take a look at the rear of the panel for the exact 155 model.
I spoke with the lecturer yesterday and it is a 1982 machine that got upgraded in 1988.
I did think in upgrading to mach3 but the machine is in such nice condition that i felt it was worth trying to run it with the heidenhain. I am just a bit scunnered that the cnc engineers that did the retrofit want £350 for the parameter information.

Thats good to no about the plc...

might have to bite the bullet and pay

many thanks

Hi there,

I've got a 155TNC on my MKII Interact. I have my parameters (all 215) here. If these are any use to you, then I would be happy to fax them over to you....?

George,
The control is a TNC 155a if that means anything. it jumps out of the parametrs edit mode after 237 lines.

Thanks Duncan...i tried your parameters but no success unfortunately.

Refer to this Heidenhain page and down load the service manual for TNC155a
Machine parameter details are given with initial values you can fill in.
