On my Ikegai TV4 maching center M06 is not working in MDI or Auto mode. In jog mode all the ATC operations are working independently. But when command is given in Auto or MDI it doesn't work. IS there any perticular program where ATC tool change position are mentioned. means when the M06 is given automatically that programme is called automatically so that sp.orientation, x,Y,Z axis positions are taken & tool change happens. I have not got that program o9000 or so in directory. Anybody is having this program .pls help. Machine is having fanuc 0mb control.

Post the Program so we can have a look. In the mean time check your manual to see if there is a parameter setting that needs to be changed.

your tool change postion could be different than z home position , rapid down the z and in mdi use a g30 instead of g28

I said I have not found any program suitable which is related to ATC movement. This means I checked for program with 9000 or 8000 series. There is no prgram whoes no starts from 9000 or 8000. Pls let know is there any other method to check?
I checked in the given manual also. It is not mentioned any where. pl help.

Dear dertsap,

What about x &Y axis position? Partactically I feel that all axis position is required for ATC tool change position.

Try what Dertsap said. use G30 in place of G28.

MOVE THE Z AXIS DOWN AWAY FROM HOME

(MDI MODE)

Dear dertsap,

What about x &Y axis position? Partactically I feel that all axis position is required for ATC tool change position.

Try that too because some Mills require Y and Z axis to be home before ATC can take place

Only the old ones 1987 and earlier Dertsap. The new ones take it in one line.

Ooops! correction to that statement; the Fanuc 0 series 1990 and earlier won't take T1M6 in on line. It really all depends on the machine builder. I don't even know if Ikegai is still around. I'll do a quick search ;)

we have a couple newer ones and they don t seem to like it , may be a machine manufacturer call , they all seem to have their own idea of how to setup those controllers

Thank you both for your help extended. Google search i have already done . yet i have not got any proper information.

Actually on machine when only e.g.m6 t1 command is given that time nothing happens. no movement nothing. no alarm. Its surprising.
