Since this is/was a Bridgeport supplied machine tool, this appears to be the closest section for this post....

Looking for the PROGRAMMING MANUAL for the Bridgeport EzSurf.

Prefer PDF but GOOD photocopy will suffice.

Sadly, MachineManuals doesn't have the the programming manual although they did have the maintenance/user manual.

Thanks

Nope, not yet anyway. A friend already took GOOD care of me, thanks!!!

Had a nice discussion with the Harig people the other day. They still have some spare parts for the Surf. Learned with the PWMINT board did and what they did to get around it. Unbelieveable...

No wonder BPT went bust.

Every time you turn arund, they were redesigning the darn controller (9 or 10 different BMDC"s) or a doing a hang on board to do some little nurdley dumb thing that shouldn't have been allowed to do.

If they had done their "systems work" with more commonality in mind and/or more robust components and commitment, they wouldn't have had to resort to "vendor of the week" related modifications to the control system and/or the BMDC.

I think I can count 5 different servo amps that were used ot the DC32 based stuff and maybe 6 different servos not counting VMC"s which I'm semi-lacking info one.

When you have that many permutations, stuff gets unnecessarily complex and costs SOAR.

Oh well. May the company RIP.
