Hi. I'm new to this site but it appears to be a very useful forum, thanks.

There are so many forum topics. I am interested in Mastercam. Is there a way to search all the Mastercam related posts before I create a possibly unnecessary or duplicate post?

You can use Google Search for key words. There are lots of topics covered in this forum, but they may not be user specific because there are a million and one ways to machine and create geometry.

If you can't find what your looking for just ask, and welcome to the zone.:rainfro:

i am interested in swithing from anouther cadcam program that ive had bad results with .i would like to here from outher users as to how they find this product good bad or indifferent thankyou

First post - back in the saddle again. Came back after fishing for a year and the boss man bought a couple Mori NL's and an NH and he sold off my three Protraks....go figure...he said he needed floor space....what was he thinking......LOL/

Now I am contracting on a Millpwr 3-axis and need a post for MasterCam X.

Also I pulled over the old Protrak MX2 and need a post for that as well.

Any help is mighty appreciated.

What type of work will you be doing with MC? That will sum up what level and what options you will require.:) Then you can contact your local MC Dealer and set up a demo. They will visit you and show you first hand how MC will benefit your goals.

I have not heard any real complaints that MC can't do something, but that depends on what level you buy. Obviously level 1 won't be able to do 3D mold work, but it will handle 2 1/2 Axis which includes 4 axis indexing. That bit of info came from cadcam that I was amazed with. Cadcam, Mike Mattera, and Reked are MC users with a vast background.

After you come up with what you want to do with the software they can shed a lot of light on your needs.:)

I soon realized the "post" is part of the MC transulator that (with a bit of tweeking) is supose to match the inbound language of the MillPWR.or something like that.

We have MC 10 mill level 3 - so I am on the path to create a custom post that will work for me.

I first thought it was part of the MillPWR .........
